The Hotpoint® AHHS09D2XXA is a 42-inch Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) designed for efficient heating and cooling, featuring a 2.5 kW electric heat kit and a cooling capacity of 9,000 BTU with an 11.3 EER for energy efficiency. It operates on 230/208V power and uses R32 refrigerant for an environmentally friendly performance. The unit includes auto power recovery, automatic emergency heat, freeze/frost & overheat protection, and self-diagnostics for reliability and safety. With a slide-in chassis, electronic controls, and a concealed manual vent, it offers two fan speeds for cooling, heating, and fan-only modes. Additional features include a constant fan button, auto-dimming display, and remote thermostat compatibility (accessory required). Its compact design measures 42" W x 16" H x 21" D and weighs 86 lbs, making it ideal for through-the-wall installation in residential or commercial settings.

Features:

9,000 BTU Cooling Capacity: This unit delivers 9,000 BTUs of cooling power, making it suitable for cooling a single room or a small area. The slight variation in BTU rating (9,200-9,400) is due to the voltage; it performs slightly better at 230V.  

High EER (11.3/11.4): The Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) measures how effectively the unit cools for each unit of electricity it consumes. An EER of 11.3/11.4 is quite good for a PTAC unit, meaning it's relatively energy-efficient and can help save on electricity costs compared to less efficient models.  

Eco-Friendly R32 Refrigerant: R32 is a next-generation refrigerant with a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than many older refrigerants. This makes it a more environmentally responsible choice.  

2.5kW Electric Heat Kit: The built-in 2.5kW electric heat kit provides supplemental heat when needed. This is particularly useful in areas where the heat pump might not be sufficient during very cold periods.

Heat Pump for Efficient Heating: The heat pump is the primary heating source in moderate climates. Heat pumps are more energy-efficient than standard electric resistance heating, as they transfer heat rather than generating it directly. The unit provides 8400/8100 BTUH of heat, which is substantial for a unit of this size.  

High COP (3.3/3.3): The Coefficient of Performance (COP) measures the heating efficiency of the heat pump. A COP of 3.3/3.3 means that for every unit of electricity consumed, the heat pump delivers 3.3 units of heat. This signifies good heating efficiency.  

Automatic Emergency Heat: If the heat pump can't keep up with the demand (e.g., during a very cold snap), the unit automatically switches to the electric heat kit. This ensures that the room stays warm even in extreme conditions.  

Auto Dimming Display: The display automatically adjusts its brightness based on the ambient light, making it easy to read in both bright and dark conditions.

INSPECTION OF GOODS

SHIPPING ADDRESS

Shipping addresses need to be a physical commercial or physical residential address. We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes.

SHIPPING TO NON-CONTIGUOUS STATES

In some cases for non-contiguous states customers such as Alaskan, Hawaiian we charge additional shipping fee of USD 399 regardless of order size and deliver the goods to your provided address.

SHIPPING TO OUTSIDE USA

For customer based outside USA like Canadian, Caribbean customers we charge flat shipping fee of USD 495 and we will be responsible to ship the goods till destination port, customer will be responsible for clearance, duty and taxes at destination. If non US customers want goods to be shipped to their appointed freight forwarder in USA, we can do that and shipping will be free. Once the shipment has been received by your freight forwarder, we are not liable for any damages that may occur between your freight forwarder and end destination. We cannot guarantee every item will ship together and arrive same time due to item stored at multiple locations, you may get multiple shipments.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days of receiving the goods. To initiate a return / refund please fill this form, contact our customer support team. A representative will authorize the return and provide instructions for completing the process. You will be refunded the full amount of the items, minus the restocking fee and shipping charges. The buyer is also responsible for arranging the return shipment and covering any associated shipping costs.
